Come home to yourself
Let awareness guide the way
Find your Middle Ground
~

When we take time to pause and be present with what is happening in that moment, an inner shift occurs.

You may not feel it a first, especially if you are new to meditation or even simply slowing down and being present. Thoughts can get in the way, and often the belief that you should be doing something productive.

Years of conditioning and living up to others expectations creates habits that are hard to break. The ego-mind tells you not to be lazy, selfish or be like that black sheep of the family .. look what happened to them!

The truth of who you are, your authentic self, lies beyond the thinking mind. Your thoughts are not the truth.

To uncover this, you must step away from the external world and take time to come home to your self.

Meditation is the traditional way of doing this, but we don’t need to sit cross legged for 20 minutes every day. You can, and that will make you a good meditator, but it doesn’t guarantee an inner shift and opening to your authentic self.

It isn’t the “doing” of meditation that matters, but becoming aware of how you are being.

Pausing, letting go, tuning in and being a kind observer of your inner world is the most important step.

I haven’t been true to myself in that manner Val…but strangely being in constant pain has gifted me with that ‘let go’ and just be. I think daring me to reach that authentic place under the constant circumstances has ‘fine tuned’ me, but just from a different direction 🤣 But regardless, thank you for sharing that practice for that place within us all 🤗❤️🙏

I don’t have ownership of any middle ground. It’s all a gift.

Whatever brings our attention inwards can open up new understanding. It may not feel like it at the time, as there is usually discomfort and pain. Just being with that, allows the opening. Breakthroughs are not what normal mind wants… but releases our very essence and a whole new way of being.
Thank you Mark for your presence, authenticity and love 💗

    Wonderful advice, Val.

I spent most of my adult life listening to others and trying to fit in and do what they offered as the ‘corrent’ path and it’s such a blessing to be able to be myself in retirement.

Indeed. sometimes we need to step away to step into ourselves… Today I stepping back in, lol as I engage back with the world and my friends… 🙂
Allowing ourselves to just BE in the moment, and as you so rightly said in the comment you left me… ‘ Just Breatheeeeee. ‘… All is well in my world..

Many thanks dear Val… and welcome home to ourselves xx ❤ 🙏💖
