Energy transformed
Reiki levels one and two
Sparking love and light
~

I have aways been drawn to the power of energy in our bodies and in the world around us.  It was first introduced to me through Yoga, where the life energy is called Prana. In Yoga, the breath and energy are intimately connected in the practice of pranayama. As we breathe and move, we release blockages in the body and allow the Prana to flow. This nourishes and energizes our body’s ability to heal and transform itself.

In Chinese medicine, the energy moves along meridians in our bodies and is called Qi or Chi. Acupuncture is the alternative medicine practice which moves this energy to bring harmony and healing to body and mind.

Another practice, which comes from Japan, and was secret for many years, is the practice of Reiki.

Reiki is a completely natural, non-invasive and safe method of energy balancing for stress reduction and relaxation. It is performed hands on or off depending on the client’s preference and involves no tissue manipulation. All healing is self-healing where the practitioner acts only as a channel for energy.

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity of taking Reiki levels I and II training and attunements with ReikiMelody, and now offer my services for hands on healing and stress reduction as a Reiki practitioner.

May each one of us be open to the infinite power of the universe and shine our light and love in our own way.

Namaste

  1. Val, Is this Usui Reiki or the Holy Fire Reiki ? Is thos Reiki Teacher ICRT certified?
I have been Certified Usui and Karuna Reiki Master/Teacher for 20 years..Usui for 20, Karuna for 14 and the Holy Fire Reiki seems like it contradicts much of Traditional Reiki…I was just wondering…
Good for you and congrats on your journey into Reiki..Blessings abundant

  2. I’ve always believed there was an energy in us and about us that has nothing to do with the physical. I have NO education on this. But I believe it.

  4. So many ways to move our energy — and how fortunate to have practitioners like you helping us. I love my acupuncture treatments, and although I am unfamiliar with Reiki, I liked learning about it here and will stay open to it. Thanks Val, and best wishes in your teachings.

    • Thank you Karen 💕 I did a full session on a friend today and it was so well received. Now I have to take care of my low back …. not used to leaning over and staying still. My yoga mat is calling for some Yin 🌈🧘🏼‍♀️🌈

  6. Congratulations on your latest achievement, Val. Isn’t it wonderful? When my husband and I married 25 years ago, we wanted to do something together that would start us off in a mindful way, so we became Reiki practitioners. It was a wonderful experience for ourselves and one we’ve shared with others since. Enjoy the flow. 🙂

  7. I don’t know what my life would be now without Reiki. I only go for treatments a few times of year, but it’s been one of the most physically and spiritually cleansing and helpful things I’ve ever done for myself. So I’m very happy to hear you’ve become a practitioner in it and hope it continues to be a transformative experience for both you and your clients. 🙂

  8. Welcome to Reiki. 🙌🏼 I hope you remember your principles everyday. Some days I forget and have to snap myself back in. I love reiki and all it does.
Enjoy every moment of it, along with your clients x
