I have been on the losing end of that tally. I can choose to respond with love and kindness and allow them to carry on until they’re ready to find their own middle ground

True, true.
As a winter activity at our library, I hosted a Scrabble group for all ages. It was for socializing and wordplay, but with no scoring. Every single adult that showed up was keenly disappointed that we weren’t scoring and had trouble just letting go and have fun. Not a one returned in subsequent weeks. The kids, however, loved it. It was rather eye-opening!

Eye opening indeed! When the intention is for connection and community, and then the scoring gets in the way. Thanks Eliza 💛

In relationships this is so true Karen 💕 I was also thinking of how politicians try to get the votes, and forget the true meaning of what they are voting for and the impact on people.
