Come pause a while with this lovely poem meditation from Shobhan Richard Faulds.

As you read it notice how your mind settles……

centering

Here. Right here, right now,

bring your mind to this place

and time. Invite it, even if it

resists, to sit and witness

what it is to be alive. Let

there be no anterior motive

in this moment but to be.

Rest on the waves of breath

and choose to experience

all of it. Let thoughts float

through and leave again, as

the mind slowly settles like

snow inside a shaken

paperweight.

This all there is. Here.

Right here and now.

Not only did my mind settle, but when I finished the poem I found I was smiling. What a nice way to start my day.

You know, in a way, I feel that when I write poetry (it’s the reason I write a lot!), it is a different state of mind. Awareness is so important, without it, we are blind souls living a dark life! Thanks for sharing this gem Val 🙂 ♥

Whenever something holds our attention without tension, it brings us to this moment. It is always there for us. And as you say being aware of this is what may be missing for many people.
Thank you for great insight and soul sight Frederic!

Right here, right now. That rang true for me today, as being needed. Thanks.

Val, how perfect these words are. I experience this state in three places …. behind my camera, Yoga, and musical meditation. I just thought of a forth. Getting lost in the beauty of Nature. Just *take a deep inward breath, release ever so slowly and just BE* Bless you! Love, Amy

I absolutely love this. With the ridiculous amount of stimulation these days, people need to take a second and pause. You drew me in and let me go. Thank you. This is all that I stand for as well.

Even if it is just for a minute that you read this, it’s a minute not wasted. Life is all about those moments.
