Find your Middle Ground
Hear the message deep inside
Spirit is your guide
~

This is a bold post from me.

Every day I choose to take time to pause, and be still. My intention is to notice what is beyond my thinking mind. It happens in the dawn light when I don’t have to jump out of bed, or when I am in nature, or sitting at my desk with pen and paper at hand, as well as on the yoga mat.

Sometimes an intuitive spark will show itself, which makes me smile… like reaching out to someone as they were thinking about me, or knowing how someone is feeling before they say anything.

It only takes a moment now to drop deep within, to a place of stability and calming presence. I come home to my Self. I call this place my Middle Ground, or Centre of Being.

Since the pandemic I have been following John D Prendergast. His teachings and books take us into our bodies and senses, and beyond our thinking mind. We become attuned to the Life Force, Divine Source or Spirit within us. When we open up to this, we find a place for healing and opening to infinite love and compassion. I feel so grateful that I can connect to It beyond the rush and push of the outer world, or the distraction of inner thoughts.

I have felt some uneasiness over the past weeks. A sense of something brewing or something that has to be completed. I know I am not alone in this.

The deep message that came up for me when I sat asking for guidance was “Be bold! Don’t hold back”. Hence this bold post.

If you are curious what might come up for you, then please join me in this Self Inquiry practice inspired by John’s teaching. (Listen to the audio recording to get the full benefit)

Self Inquiry Practice:

Take a moment to pause… Find a quiet place where you wont be disturbed… Be okay with sitting for a while… Nothing to do but be present right here and now… Connect to your breath… Let your awareness drop down into your body… Your heart area… Deeper into the belly… All the way to the ground. Bring a hand to your heart and an other onto your belly… Take a few deep breaths… Feel the settling in and settling down… Breathe into it… Relax into your body… Dropping down… dropping in…

Now ask. “What wants to be known”?… And wait to see what arises from deep within, beyond your thinking mind.

Let us be present to the next unfolding, within us, between us and all around.

Namaste

You ever share from that truth in your heart kind lady, no greater love can you give. That openness is that peak, that mountaintop of where you stand 🤗❤️🙏

Bold, beautiful, and honest. I love and appreciate the depths of those who “go there” or live authentically “from there”. I also deeply appreciate John Prendergast’s work. I recently shared his first book with my grandson and look forward to the deep conversations we will have.

Step out and step up. It is what we are all called to do, in our own way.

Sending blessings of love and peace to you, dear Val.

Thanks for sharing this question and process, Val. Yes, there’s something that needs action: “A sense of something brewing or something that has to be completed. I know I am not alone in this.” No, you’re not. Hugs.

I have a long maintained that if we want to change the world, we need to do the inner work. Thanks for giving people yet another avenue to do this, Val. 🙏💕

The other shoe is hovering in the air, ready to drop at any time. The status quo is about to change. Things cannot stay as they are. The divisiveness that is being fostered by those in power will give way to a brighter day. Change will come. Greed will give way to a desire for peace and prosperity for all. The “haves” will realize that happiness is grounded in making a place at the table for everyone. Glimmers of kindness and generosity will appear on the horizon. The sun will break through these dark clouds. Despair will give way to hope. Namaste.

Despair is hidden arrogance . . . “I have seen the future and it doesn’t work.”

The time ahead is hopeful but won’t be easy.
The turbulence has started and we all must hold ourselves with kindness and compassion and reach out to others in the same way. Getting pulled into the arguments and chaos is a diversion that drains our energy.
Keep reaching out with love and understanding… and stand up against what isn’t right. 💐🙏💞

It’s a delight to hear your voice. I find it quite beautiful. For years, you have contributed many loving comments about my musings. Those words have been well received, and now I have the chance to read them again while having your voice in my mind and heart.

Thank you for all you’re contributing to the world.
