Enjoy the re-blog of this light hearted Life is Like … post. When times are tough, the wise get lighter.

Life is like riding a bike. If you want to live fully, there are three things to be aware of.

(1) You have to steer. (2) You have to pedal (3) You have to keep your balance.

Maintaining the dynamic relationship between these three aspects are key to living life well.

  • It’s important to go in the direction you want, otherwise you find yourself going round in circles, or getting lost. Be alert for obstacles ahead. Are you ready to change direction as needed?

  • Watch your speed. Are you going too fast? Do you need to slow down?

  • And of course, you need to have a sense of when you are in balance, so you won’t take a tumble and hurt yourself. Practice along with slowing down will bring mastery .. and fun along the way.

We shift priorities as things come up, but it’s up to us to find the dynamics that that support our journey.
We can’t be told how to do this, but knowing where to pay attention helps us navigate better.

Well said Val, the technical aspects of life from something learned so young. Getting it into an art form. Like that last photo, the confidence to lift your feet up and just go for it…but all the while fine tuning that confidence each bump we take 🤣 Great post kind lady, almost wants me to go for a ride 🤗❤️🙏

A great analogy Val! Sometimes stabilizers help, and a helmet can be useful at times too! LOL! 😁

Love my bike riding here in Southern Oregon.

I would add a fourth to your list, and that is to stop from time to time and just absorb the beautiful nature around one!
