Here in the US we put our clocks ahead one hour, for Daylight Savings Time to begin tomorrow. I’m looking forward to lighter evenings, but not the adjustment in my body. I couldn’t help but smile when I came across this poem from Danna Faulds.

Sweet Time Great nature takes her own sweet time. No one can hurry sunrise; migrating birds arrive when they arrive; trees grow and leaf on their own unique schedules. We are the only creatures with clocks, minute hands marching in tight circles, seconds flashing past. Think of the inner peace if we awoke one day to find that all the clocks had turned into flower pots filled with buds that bloomed only when a power greater than calendars or hours coaxed their petals open. ~ Danna Faulds from "Breath Of Joy"
I enjoy how Danna captures the essence of time here so simply: Its tight control over us and its flashing nature, compared to the possibility of inner peace and gentle opening and awakening.
Hhmm … What would life be like if we weren’t driven by time?…
May you find your own sweet time tomorrow and in all the days ahead.
Namaste
