“Rested, we are ready for the world but not held hostage by it, rested we care again for the right things and the right people in the right way. In rest we reestablish the goals that make us more generous, more of an invitation, someone we want to remember, and someone others would want to remember too.” ~ David Whyte

In taking time to rest we invite a letting go…. and letting be. Nowhere to be other than here .. and now. Simply being here and allowing whatever wants to be known, felt, heard or seen.
Winter is a time for resting and nurturing our inner being.
Rested, we become prepared for what lies ahead.
Are you ready for life’s challenges and disappointments… knowing they will pass and are pathways?
Are you ready to catch the wave of the uplifting energy that comes with Spring?
if you aren’t quite sure, then carve out some time. Then read David Whyte’s words again as you allow yourself to rest.
Namaste
David Whyte poems have become my favorite in recent months, I was happy to see you chose his lines, they are so beautiful. You convey an important message. Rest is absolultely so necessary, and I loved how you said it invites letting go.

Thinking of you and those that were blessed by your workshop today. Rest is something that is worth exploring if we are to sustain that which we want to create in the world. I am thankful for you, Val.

You’ve chosen such a perfect poem for not just the time of year, but for our time in the world: Your lines, “Winter is a time for resting and nurturing our inner being. Rested, we become prepared for what lies ahead.” and this is the optimism I am sharing with you, and the inspiration to be moving freely again.
