Life Isn’t Personal

The universe continues to unfold in each moment

Let it

You don’t have to control or hold on to anything

Just take time to pause and listen to your inner wisdom

Trust it’s soft voice

Mistakes and challenges have helped you grow into who you are today

Embrace whatever happens, knowing that you will continue to learn and grow

Nothing has gone wrong

Life continues in its highs and lows

Don’t take it personally

We are all in this together

Human Being

“You are a Human Being.  These two words not only describe who you are as a member of a particular species but, if examined more deeply, also point to the twofold nature of your identity.  Human is who you are on the level of form; that is to say, your body and mind.  Those two aspects of your form identity make up your conditioned self.  That self is conditioned by genetics and the environment, as well as other factors as yet unknown to science.

Being, on the other hand, points to the essence of who you are as timeless, formless, and unconditioned consciousness.

Human and Being, form and essence, are ultimately not separate, in the same way that a wave or ripple on the surface of the ocean is not separate from the ocean or from any other wave or ripple, although it may appear to be so.”

~ Eckhart Tolle

I’m feeling very Human right now as I get ready for a vacation in Scotland and with my Mum on a river cruise in the Netherlands. Lots of distractions in getting ready and anticipating the days ahead. There is also the conditioning of genetics, culture, familial roles and the environment that pulls me away from the contentment of Being.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be sharing my favorite posts to inspire us all in our Being and to Find our Middle Ground.

The Essence of You

Let yourself be the being you are

This being is in the deep core of your living experience

In every moment

This being is beyond anything you can think

The living presence is beyond any self image

It is the essence of you

Drop any notion you have of yourself right now

Just be here, in this moment

Take slow full breaths and allow yourself to soften

Let go and feel into the deeper beyond

Can you sense it?

Be with the being that you are

Inspiration – Lie Down

Lie down with your belly to the ground,
like an old dog in the sun. Smell
the greenness of the cloverleaf, feel the damp
earth through your clothes, let an ant
wander the uncharted territory
of your skin.

Lie down with your belly to the ground. Melt into
the earth’s contours like a harmless snake.
All else is mere bravado.
Let your mind resolve itself
in a tangle of grass.

Lie down with your belly
to the ground, flat out, on ground level.
Prostrate yourself before the soil
you will someday enter.
Stop doing.
Stop judging, fearing, trying.
This is not dying, but the way to live
in a world of change and gravity.
Let go. Let your burdens drop.
Let your grief-charge bleed off
into the ground.

Lie down with your belly to the ground
and then rise up
with the earth still in you.

After all, all else is mere bravado.

Find your Soul Ground

~

Instead of running. Slow down.

Instead of jumping ahead. Step aside.

Instead of doing. Find a seat.

Change your pace in life.

Take time to pause.

Breathe fully and slowly from the center of your being.

Open up to your Soul ground.

Today’s Experiment – Wonder

This is a re-post and reminder to bring wonder into your day today 💛

Thoughts and beliefs create how we see the world around us

This is our reality

Our thinking is not the truth

The truth is beyond our thoughts and beliefs

Trust that there is so much more than what is already known

Take time to come into the present moment

wonder

And see your world through the lens of wonder

Notice with an open heart and mind

Let go of your thinking

And let in whatever shows up that was once hidden

Joy for No Reason

I am filled with quiet
joy for no reason save
the fact that I’m alive.
the message I receive
is clear – there’s no time
to lose from loving, no
place but here to offer
kindness, no day but this
to be my true, unfettered
self and pass the flame
from heart to heart. This
is the only moment that
exists – so simple, so
exquisite, and so real.

Let these words settle deep within and nourish you today.

Find your Middle Ground
~

Find your Middle Ground is about stepping away from stressful days and anxious minds, and taking time to pause.

When we are mindful of the present moment and simply allow it to be, we open a door to our natural state of being – accepting, loving, peaceful, kind and content. Most of us are so distracted and moving so fast that we get caught up in the world of “doing” or worrying about what we should be doing next.
Too much doing and thinking disconnects us from our sense of “being”and who we really are.

I write about finding this place of connection, contentment and peace in the highs and lows of life. I call it our Middle Ground.

To be peace

I love this refection for today and every day. Choose how you want to be, and then do the doing, otherwise you will feel overwhelmed.

Mindfulbalance

When you are feeling overwhelmed, you’re trying too hard.

That kind of energy does not help the other person and it does not help you. You should not be too eager to help right away. There are two things, to be and to do. Don’t think too much about to do – to be is first. To be peace. To be joy. And then to do joy, to do happiness – on the basis of being. Being fresh. Being peaceful. Being compassionate. This is the basic practice. It’s like a person sitting at the foot of a tree. The tree does not have to do anything, but the tree is fresh and alive. When you are like that tree, sending out waves of freshness, you help to calm down the suffering in the other person.

Find your Middle Ground
In the highs and lows,
Rest in your Being
~

Find your Middle Ground is about stepping away from stressful days and the highs and lows of life, and taking time to pause.

When we rest in this place,  we are able to let go of judgments and how we wish things “should” be. We allow ourselves to open up to what is in this moment, and in doing so, connect with our authentic being and life energy.

There will always be ups and downs in life. We can find contentment when we take time out to rest in our Being.

Greatness of Being

the universe within you

“The world encourages us to look from the limited sense of personhood – a very unstable standpoint from which we always try to find balance on very shaky ground. But you must learn to look from your source Being.

Your Being is vaster than sky, greater than space – and it is already here.

Look from your stillness, not from your agitation. You don’t have to go more than a fraction of an inch away from where you are right now to find the silence and stillness of your Being. And from here you can observe the energetic streams that are pulling your attention to go out into the field of noise and personhood, where beings are suffering from person-poison, from the toxicity of the ego.”

~ Mooji

In times like these, it’s so easy to get caught up in our personhood, or separateness and to be drawn in to arguments between “them” and “us”.

We forget that we all share the same essence of being within us. I believe that it is up to those of us who have touched this source Being, (whether we name it Universe, Presence, God, Divine, Spirit or Love) to share our energy with others who are struggling.

Only through our awakening to a shared consciousness and inter-dependence on each other and our precious Earth can we hope to survive and evolve as human beings.

May we all awaken to this humble loving greatness of Being.
