drop in the ocean

“You are a drop:
Divine being is the ocean.
While you still live,
hold steadily before you
the vision of the whole
and you will be the whole.”

– Jalal-ud-Din Rumi
(Translated by Andrew Harvey from A Year of Rumi)*

Let us hold steady before us the vision of the whole.

Don’t let the divisiveness and turmoil distract us from what is yet to be revealed.

Let us trust in the ocean.

  2. Going for a walk on the beach on Wednesday morning (and today) restored my equilibrium as I watched the waves engage in constant change.

    • The rhythm of nature and its ebb and flow.
      The constant movement and shifting
Reminds us that we are also a part of it all.
I would love to be by the ocean right now!
