  1. To get those thoughts quiet is so not easy and takes much discipline but once achieved one truly can hear the Voice of Pristine Truth. Thank you, Val, for this post! โค

  2. Val, love this but surely only death brings our thoughts to an end! ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

What I’m hearing from you, all the time I’m bound to say, is the wise advice to let go of the need for our mind to run our lives every minute of the day! And I so wish I could find a secure way of meditating!

    1. Our thoughts are not our life Paul. We only think they are ๐Ÿ˜‰ Beyond our thinking is the awareness of it all. By observing our thinking mind and becoming detached from it, we open to so much more … And the interconnectedness of us all. ๐Ÿ’›

  3. Neuroscientists say we have on average 60,000 thoughts that cross our consciousness daily. That is an average of one a second during waking time. Common sense tells us it is impossible to grasp everyone.

Why do we ever grasp a negative one?

Our mindfulness practice helps quiet us down, building our focus to let go and explore the inner world.

โ— About Me

My name is Val Boyko, a dual citizen living near Philadelphia, originally from Scotland.

This blog came to life one morning in 2013.  I woke up with these words in my mind:  “Life is a series of highs and lows. Be grateful for the highs. Be graceful in the lows. And find contentment in your Middle Ground.”

Find Your Middle Ground blog started to explore, reflect, ask deep questions, share insights about awakening, and connect with wonderful people like yourself. Thank you for being here and being such an inspiration.
