sitting pretty dog

Dog sitting pretty

waiting for that special treat

Love is food is love

~

Contented puppy

every need is being met

apart from nature’s

~

The call of freedom

Comes alive in vibrant dreams

Nature is true love

~

dog running in nature

Today I’m sitting with the question… What can we learn from dogs about our true nature?

    I learn from my dog that love doesn’t have limits.
    And that sometimes it’s nice to sit on a couch and snuggle 🙂

    Oh…so so much!!! The one thing that strikes me about my puppy is that every single morning he opens his eyes…He looks at me and then he starts his happy wiggle dance…so full of JOY!!!! Never fails…every single day he wakes and he is HAPPY…OVERJOYED! Yes…There is a lot we can learn from all animals! Thanks Val!! 🙂 ❤

    Dogs never hold grudges, they forgive and love with no conditions and are loyal and patient until the end. They do have a lot to teach us Val.

    I think we learn from dogs how selfish some of us can be – not so with dogs, they give their all, they find joy in the simplest of things, best of all, they love us, warts an’ all!

      And some prefer warts and dirty appendages to the other better bits of us…. I am looking after our 3 for a few days while hubby visits his mother. I need more arms 🙂

    I think that dogs show up the fact that humans can be obsessed with materialism and appearances. Dogs are far wiser and see beyond all this right into a person’s heart and mind.

      Hhhmmm right now I’m seeing my Welsh Terriers getting obsessed with squirrels, chipmunks, and … this is new … moles moving under ground. Maybe we mammals have our obsessions, but there’s nothing to beat the love of a pooch in our hearts 🙂

    Maybe happiness and “joie de vivre” and the meaning of faithful friendship. I think people who abandon their dogs (or cats) are murderers: they break and “kill” the heart of sincerely loving innocent creatures… beautiful poem and important question Val xxoo

      Dogs and cats are indeed faithful friends…. and I can’t imagine life without them! (Well perhaps not the cats as I’m allergic to them 😉
