Why do trees produce
so many seeds–countless
numbers of them fall to
the ground every year.

A few sprout and become
trees, others proving food
for many, still others
create compost to replenish
the earth. Nothing is wasted.

So it is with us. Our actions
may not always bear the fruit
of our dreams, but rather
become food for other possibilities
or provide the base
for future growth.

Do not let regret blind you
to the lessons of life.
There are no mistakes–
just opportunities for
us to become all we
are meant to be.
