Here in the northern hemisphere we are experiencing some turbulent Winter to Spring weather! Nature is finding her way forward and the energy feels quite intense. Some of you may also be experiencing this intensity inside you too. After all, the external often reflects the internal, and vice versa. This poem is for those of you in turbulent times.

The answer lies in the title.

ALLOW

There is no controlling life.
Try corralling a lightening bolt,
containing a tornado. Dam a
stream, and it will create a new
channel. Resist, and the tide
will sweep you off your feet.
allow, and grace will carry
you to higher ground. The only
safety lies in letting it all in -
the wild with the weak; fear,
fantasies, failures and success.
When loss rips off the doors of
the heart, or sadness veils your
vision with despair, practice
becomes simply bearing the truth.
In the choice of letting go of your
known way of being, the whole
world is revealed to your new eyes.

~ Danna Faulds from “Go In and In”

Practice becomes simply bearing the truth … and that is enough.

Yes it does Val. We try and try and try…until we realize it is just waiting for us to let go…and understand in that silence we finally allow. Great post dear lady, may your silence be heard too 😀❤️🙏🏽

Thanks, Val. It seems easier at times to battle against the current, when just going with the flow works wonders! 🙂

The weather indeed has been turbulent – testing our capacity to withstand from within. I was thrilled to find the reference of the lightning bolt in the poem you share – the resonance and inspiration, I enjoyed both dear Val.

Equinox AND a new moon. Ugh!
I was wondering why I felt this way until I saw that dashing duo on the calendar. Times like this help me to “simply bear the truth”. The universe will not rush on my account.
Now I must be patient with the universe. With the world. With myself.

    Be well,

    Paz
