How to Spend your Time – dressing up

How are you spending your time these days? My last post was one of reflection, asking deeper questions and taking time to journal. There are all sorts of ways to spend your time at home.

There is such an opportunity to get creative… be a slug… cook for your freezer… finish projects… obsess with online shopping…. and for today, I thought of dressing up!

This little guy inspired me. He wants to look like Mother Theresa, and I think he’s got it just right.

Who would you want to dress up as today?

  3. As children, many of us did that! What a wonderful opportunity to return to our inner child…by dressing up our outer adult! 😉 Thank you, Val! 😊

  4. This made me smile, Val. Our first dog used to like to be dressed up. One day, I put a flannel shirt and a down vest on her. She sat in the chair like she had just come in from the big hunt. Thanks for the smile – take care.

  6. LOL! How adorable! I’m blessed to be in a position to work from home right now, so dressing for the day job in shorts and a t-shirt has been a nice change. 🙂

  7. As I’ve changed my avatar recently to the blue one, Val, today I’m dressing up as a smurf. Virtually, of course… all smurf hats appear to be sold out at the moment! 😉
    Cute photo by the way!

  9. Me… well, I’d want to dress up like Mata Hari! … I think I will and then, I’ll have a dance party all by myself, all swirling fabric and sparkles!

Once again, our writing is aligned. I just shared 10 Self-Care tips on my blog — I didn’t include “play Dress-up” but what a great idea! Thanks Val.

  11. Funny idea, Val 😀
As Spain are totally locked down, I dress most comfortable, as I only go outdoor with Odin and shop the most needed sometimes.
Take good care of yourself ❤

    • Every day we have the opportunity to to take care of what we need to do … and then open space for what we love to do.
This is also a time for expression … and some folks enjoy dressing up and connecting to their imagination.
Sometimes this is more important than the real 💗🙏💗

  13. What a cute pug! That’s a happy photo. I’m dressed as my gardener today. Keep waiting for the real deal to come in and save me from all that work. ;( Lots of sunshine today so I’ll enjoy it. Thanks for the smile.

  16. Smiling…laughter is good for the soul. ;] Your question opened my silly-side…a clown, someone who measure life in smiles and fun. And then your question opened my heart…a nurse, someone who can tangibly help those in need right now. Thanks, Val!
