Aim to be your best
When best is letting it go
Find Your Middle Ground
~

So often in life, we are expected to strive to be successful and achieve our goals.

Yet, it’s easy to become attached and driven by them,  to the extent that we no longer enjoy or appreciate life.

In becoming attached, we become prisoners.

What do you need to let go off, to truly be your best?

I had to give this some thought. I think I need to let go of some comfort and trying to find a story or significance in what has happened in my past.

I need to let go of the pull of the past . . . with its attendant ghosts.

Knowing how to make it all work out. I can only do the next step and then the next.

Yes Val, that pesky attachment to people, things, expectations, financial and social stability, and so on and so on. I’m a work in progress, but I’m trying every day to cut those cords of attachment which are just holding me back from being ME, the real me, behind the outward appearance, the real me, ‘(faults) action points and all! I remember The Who song, I’m Free and the first few lines which went, “I’m free / I’m free / And freedom tastes of reality!” Lovely post Val. Anita.
