Life Can be Unfair

finding grace in life's lows
Life can be unfair
When we don’t get what we want.
The need to control.

As children we try
So hard to make things better.
Not knowing we can’t.

Take time to pause, feel,
Shards and arrows piercing heart
The wounded small child.

This is life’s lesson.
Reflect, accept and be kind.
Set aside armor.

Be vulnerable
Open your heart to yourself
Awaken the Love

Let healing begin
With Reality and Love.
Find your Middle Ground

Sending a hug and much love to everyone dealing with disappointment, unfairness … loss … and pain.

This is the season of opening (or letting go in the southern hemisphere)

Wake up to the shifting energy.

Don’t take it personally

Open your heart to a greater knowing.

Know you are not alone.

Namaste

  4. A very insightful poem dear Val… and sometimes some things are not meant to be, yet in hindsight those disappointments can turn out to be the cross roads that propelled us to even greater heights…

  7. Val, I recently had a dear friend die. Your poem speaks of feeling grief and letting it pass through you. I have been doing this, and now I am remembering so many wonderful times my friend and I shared while she was alive. It is worth the effort to feel the pain. And that pain is really love.
    Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

  8. ‘Life can be unfair…The need to control.’ It’s funny how many of us feel the need to be in control. Perhaps this stems from fear, such as the fear of disappointment or experiencing pain. Disappointment and pain hurts, sometimes it feels like we are torn apart. As you alluded to, it’s times when life feels unfair that we should show love and compassion to ourselves and others who need it too. Like Val said in the comments, pain is love. And how wonderful it is to have loved – and will love again. Thanks for sharing this timeless post, Val. Really enjoyed reading this post on this evening over here in Australia 😊💕
