This came into my inbox this morning from a mushroom gummy company called Mojo. I use their gummies for helping me sleep and also to calm me down when stressed or when I need an energetic boost. I’m not one to support advertising here, but these words really resonated on this cold February day. Their products are good too ❣️

If January is about ambition, February is about endurance.
The plans are still there.
The goals are still valid.
But the novelty is gone, the weather’s bad, and your motivation didn’t get the memo.
That’s not weakness.
That’s biology + calendar math.
February is the month that quietly exposes whether your systems work when excitement doesn’t.
So don’t ask:
“Why don’t I feel motivated?”
Ask:
“What keeps me moving when motivation dips?”
This is the part of the year where:
✅ routines matter more than inspiration
✅ energy management beats hype
✅ showing up counts more than showing off
You don’t need to feel fired up this week.
You just need to stay in motion.
February rewards the people who don’t quit early.
And that advantage compounds fast.
Stay steady. Keep moving.
You’re doing better than you think.
Stay in motion and breathe, and keep showing up.
… Now that’s better!

So true!

The year of the horse 🐎 is already showing me to discover my endurance, hope and resilience within when movement and inner knowing slows down. 🙏🏻

Oh Val, thank you for sharing this! 🤗 This is exactly what I needed to hear – especially the last few lines! February really can be hard if winter hangs around like this year, but it is thankfully a short month and I will simply keep moving and stay steady! I hope you do too! 🌷🌷🌷

Thanks for this, Val. I have saved it to keep for those days. Heat in summer slows me down more than winter weather but we have had almost none this winter. Sunshine and in the 60’s?? The mountain ski resorts are hurting. The steady stream of cars heading to the ski slopes is missing. If we are really lucky this Friday 13th, the sky will spit on us and we will be grateful.

That is a big shift of weather in your neck of the woods. We have been frozen under ice over snow for at least 6 weeks. Ski areas are so appreciative compared with a warm winter last year.

Tuning into nature might require a shift within us too. I am grateful for the shift in sunlight as brighter mornings appear now💝
