The end point is already at the beginning. That’s what we call the direct path.
You don’t have to get to silence. You simply have to realize it’s there.
You don’t have to get to openness. You simply need to realize it’s already there.
You don’t need to get to freedom. You simply need to recognize that it’s already there.
You don’t need to get to no-self. You just need to recognize that there isn’t one there to begin with.
You don’t have to get to the divine. You simply have to recognize that it’s the only thing that’s going on already.
That’s called the direct path. It’s a direct experiential introduction to the view. The key is that it’s got to be experiential.
~ Adyshanti
Our minds think we have to attain, learn, grasp or find the answer to Awakening. Adyshanti reminds us so clearly that it is already here, and each aspect needs to be recognized and experienced rather than being understood by the mind.
There is no attaining. It really is a shedding of our conditioned brain and opening up to what is present within us.
The first step, is to realize that our thoughts will never lead us to what we seek. The thinking mind can be the biggest obstacle to opening to Spirit.

yes, so good to reframe this in our hearts and minds

Thoughts are anchored to ‘I’ the ego, beyond them shall we find spirit. That’s the end point and the beginning as well.
Loved it. Thankyou for sharing 💕

I greatly appreciate this. I strive to be part of the “shedding of our conditioned brain” understanding. It’s so easy to slip back into. Slippery slope getting there.

The slippery slope is the most important part of the journey. It reminds us to come back to the path. Thank you Colleen 💖

Yes! Once we’ve experienced silence, openness, freedom, no-self for the first time, it’s easy to regain that perspective. This truth reminds me of a post I wrote back in 2010 which ended:
As soon as we re-align with our Spiritual perspective, we are back at the Zenith.
Sitting on the top of the world.
Aah . . . that’s better!

“This accursed brain!” I say.
I am striving to reach beyond actualization and realization. Seeking the clean, undisturbed natural mind.
Like removing layers of paint until there remains only that which lies hidden.

Cheers to you Paz. The shedding of layers can take its time…. But seems to come more easily when we stop the striving.💛🙏🏼💛

Just the simple opening to “what is”. To realizing what’s already always here. Such a direct pointing. But we’ve covered up the simplicity with so much in our short journey on this planet. Thanks, Val.

Ahh, Jung’s uroboros. Should’ve known, Adyashanti. I think he is based right over the mountain in Taos. In any event, I have long loved his practical simple takes on ancient wisdom. 🙏❤️
