Everything Just Stops

Everything just stops
COVID 19 positive
Don in quarantine

Cough from deep in lungs
Headache and congestion
Fatigue takes over

Keeping my distance
At Chanticleer and nature
In my Middle Ground

Getting through the days
Dragging minutes at a time
I'm still negative

Over the hump now
Caleb would understand
Good times are ahead

These words came to me as I was walking in Chanticleer and coming to terms with a positive test result. The last paragraph I added today. So grateful this was a relatively mild case, and it is passing.

    I think it is like the normal flu, it just depends on where your system is at, as in run down or your normally prone to them or even strong as an ox and they barely touch you, to how hard it hits. A couple of friends got it and used an elderberry extract and they said it took the ‘hardness’ out of it and it was only like a ‘middling’ flu and were fully cleared after 10 days. Glad to hear your strong as an ox and Don is getting better 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋.

        Ooh, my bad comment. Jeanne mentioned it was NOT like a normal flu, and it isn’t. I didn’t word my comment very well. I was meaning that our bodies react differently depending on where our immune systems, genetics etc were at ‘like’ they would with a normal flu. But no, the covid-19 can do some nasty things with the ‘long covid’ etc 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

    Sounds like your husband had it worse than you. Grateful that you are both on the mend. It is NOT “just like the normal flu,” though as many people have long term cognitive and physical issues. Glad you are all vaxed and feet better.🙏

      I actually feel really good having taken AlkaSeltser Cold and Flu during the day. It really lifts the sinus pressure and eases aches.
