Come back to this simple and profound insight. Be a kind and compassionate witness to what ever you notice around you, and whatever arises within.

It’s what each of us needs to find balance, and what the world yearns for.

“In the mirror of your mind all kinds of pictures appear and disappear.
Knowing that they are entirely your own creations, watch them silently come and go.
Be alert, but not perturbed.
This attitude of silent observation is the very foundation of yoga. You see the picture, but you are not the picture.”

~ Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

The foundation of yoga is to become a silent observer without attachment to the world we create in our minds. To soften our edges and tensions in the body and understanding in the mind.

… and then remember not to hold our breath 😊

I like the simple reminder of this post–what is important. And thinking of it as yoga–something I don’t ordinarily do. Thanks, Val.

Ah dear Val, the world is indeed such a noisy thing. But what a test to find that silence among it. If we can do that…we can do anything 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

Love this! And what a perfect reminder at the end… not to hold our breath. I find myself unconsciously doing so in times on stress, frustration and even in uncertainty. Being aware of your breath is SO powerful.
