Make your life sweeter
Lighten up in heavy times
Find Your Middle Ground
~

When we are going through stressful and difficult times, the mind tends to join in with worry and anxiety about the future. Life becomes heavier with each passing thought. It’s all too easy to get caught up in fortune telling and catastrophizing, when things are out of our control.

What IS in our control is what we do when we recognize our inner state. Anxiety is a natural reaction to when things are out of our control. When we recognize this, there is a choice. Do we continue to let the mind take over and create dis-ease, or do we focus our mind on something else?

Getting out of our heads is the best gift for our sense of balance and wellbeing. With yoga and meditation we focus on our breath and our bodies. Snuggling a pet, dancing and going for a walk in nature, work too!

Lighten up and fun, make life feel sweet again.

Namaste

  2. If we could take all the worry from a stressful mind and converted it to energy we could power the world 50 times over…but alas, something gets lost in the conversion dear lady. But as you have just said, that change to free the heart and mind to release all that just requires a change in the way we approach it. Great post Val 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋

  6. This is a very helpful reminder. Do what brings lightness and joy in any given situation. Worry is such a misuse of our imagination.

  8. When I notice stress, tension, anxiety, dis-ease in my thoughts . . . I mindfully disengage, stepping “back” into the role of detached observer, allowing and receiving.

As I make the shift, a small smile surfaces and I sense the peace and joy within. Namaste.
