“The dark does not destroy the light;

it defines it.

Its our fear of the dark that casts our

joy into the shadows.”

Brene Brown

Take a moment to reflect on how this appears in your life.

Instead of wishing the dark away, how can you embrace it and shine through?

  3. Indeed, Val. We can’t have the light without the dark, and we’d also miss all of the shades in between.

  7. Puts me in mind of a Terry Pratchett quote: “Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.”

    But for me, the dark is … the black mouth of the cave into which the path through twilight winds …
