Mindful River Moment

find your middle ground

After writing about living the way a river flows, I came across this wonderful video this morning from Jonathan Foust. Enjoy this middle ground moment with a pair of canadian geese and a nonchalant blue heron 💛

  3. I like the blue heron. Canadian geese…I have a history with them. Not my favorite creature. We have herds of them who have taken over my road out of the neighborhood, they stay all year, and are oblivious to humans, cars, etc. They attack local dogs…very brave, these.

  4. This morning in the pool at water aerobics, we watched osprey and great blue herons flying by . . . perfect!

  6. Very soothing. I love watching and listening to geese in flight. This time of year I’ll run outside to watch them fly over. A part of me always yearns to follow. 🙂

    1. I remember the fly overs when I first came to PA in 1992. It was a sure sign of the changing of the seasons as the geese headed south. Now they stay put and fly locally. An interesting change in dynamics…and perhaps readily available food sources around here.

      1. Yes, nature is always in flux. Canada geese are adapting very well to living along side humans, like mallards and pigeons, only a lot bigger!

  7. Ahh, what a peaceful, soothing moment. Blue Heron appears to be engaged in walking meditation. 🙂

  8. So restful and peaceful Val, as I watched the geese and the beauty of that heron who strode so gently across the screen..
I keep promising to video the sparrows in our bird bath.. I counted 8 all at one go the other day,
The splashed so much I had to fill up the bird bath again LOL..
Wonderful share my friend xx ❤
