I wrote this post some time ago, and now the time seems right to publish it. After all, this is a weekend where the cycle of death and everlasting life is celebrated around the world.
“The web of our life is of a mingled yarn, good and ill together.”
~ Shakespeare – All’s Well That Ends Well, Act IV.Scene 3
When we separate the good and ill yarns, life starts to unravel
We suffer
Yet, when we accept it is part of the natural balance
We find solace and hope

As I was looking for an image to reflect today’s reflection, I came across this amazing James video animated by Ainslie Henderson. I found it so creative and deeply moving. Let the love filled tears overflow if you are ready today.
It’s the perfect time for this beautiful post, Val. Thank you for sharing. xo

Sigh. Such a beautiful post — and that video is amazingly poignant and timely as we watch my mother’s life weave its way to its great unravelling.
Thank you Val. You have given my heart great comfort this morning (oh. and made me cry too! 🙂 ) Loving tears of comfort and joy.

We watched a terrific movie tonight about Love, Time, and Death ~ Collateral Beauty (Will Smith, Helen Mirren, Keira Knightly, Ed Norton, Michael Peña, Naomie Harris, Jacob Latimore, Kate Winslet, etc.)
Love is in everything from a child’s laughter to the pain we feel when a loved one dies. Love is THE why of it all.

… and how easy we forget… Thank you for this Nancy. 💛 I will check out the movie. It sounds like there is a lot of struggle between love and war … and an opportunity for some good acting!

Collateral Beauty is not a war film. It’s a film about a father who sinks into depression after the death of his 6 year old daughter. It’s sad and so so uplifting. All the cast is terrific.
