No matter where you are, follow love and trust it to direct your course. ❤️
I have shared these words before, but they are worth coming back to again and again. They are from “The Prophet” by the Lebanese American poet and writer Kahlil Gibran. His work touches me deeply. Its beautiful and real. No pink hearts, flowers and chocolates here. This embraces more than romantic love or love within relationships. It can also be read as an expression of divine love.
Notice where it resonates in your heart and soul.
LOVE
When love comes to you, follow it, though its ways are hard and steep.
And when its wings enfold you yield to them, though its hidden sword may wound you.
For even as it is for your growth, it is for your pruning.
Even as it ascends you to your height, so shall it descend to your roots and shake them.
But if in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and pleasure,
then it is better for you to cover yourself into the seasonless world, where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.Love gives nothing but itself, and takes nothing but from itself.
Love does not possess, nor would it be possessed.
And do not think that you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
