The heart of a gardener
opens to the call of the earth.
Every Spring and through
the cycles of time
the call is there to plant,
sow, water and create
an expanse of color,
texture, light and shadow.

The heart of a gardener
is a creator and artist,
displaying and weaving
patterns, while tending with
the love of Mother Nature.

The heart of a gardener is Love.

This is a beautiful poem, Val, that captures the heart of a gardener. I could relate and I do not even do much gardening. BTW, that first photo is gorgeous.

    Val,

Your poem left me thinking. The heart of a gardener is the willingness to begin again. Thank you for this poetic reminder. It is an important message for me today.
