The heart of a gardener
opens to the call of the earth.
Every Spring and through
the cycles of time
the call is there to plant,
sow, water and create
an expanse of color,
texture, light and shadow.
The heart of a gardener
is a creator and artist,
displaying and weaving
patterns, while tending with
the love of Mother Nature.
The heart of a gardener is Love.
~ Val Boyko

Thanks Derrick. I had difficulty uploading the photos directly into this post, so had to send the photos from my iPhone to a WP black hole. Hence the two posts. I’m experiencing some of your lack of ease with photos!

I had a great time helping my college grad daughter plant her first real garden over the weekend. There’s a bit more commitment and intention in the time spent in the garden.
