Inspiration – Author Michael A. Singer

spring night

This post is part of my spiritual decluttering. Yes, it’s still going on!

Many spiritual teachers talk about living life in a prison created by the limitations of mind and our habits and beliefs. This is a magical passage from Michael Singer’s book “The Untethered Soul”

“Imagine your house of thoughts standing in the middle of an ocean of light from a trillion stars. Imagine your awareness trapped inside the darkness of that house, struggling daily to live off the artificial light of your limited experiences.

Now imagine the walls crumbling down, and the effortless release of consciousness expanding into the brilliance of what is and always was.

Now give that experience a name – enlightenment.”

What a gift 💖

~ Michael A Singer from “The Untethered Soul”

  4. How beautiful, Val. I have read his book “the surrender experiment” and I did it, but I still need to be reminded. My default mode seems to be grasping. Thank you.

    1. Thank you Ally🙏 Coning back to the essential wisdom is always worthwhile. We may get it intellectually, but it takes more time to de-condition ourselves and behave differently. 💛
