Sacred steps across the moors

Scottish homecoming

I am in Scotland visiting my family. After two years, its so good to be back!

We are on holiday on the Isle of Arran. Such an interesting and welcoming island… even in the rain.

Well my heart’s in the Highlands, gentle and fair

Honeysuckle blooming in the wildwood air

Bluebelles blazing where the Aberdeen waters flow

Well my heart’s in the Highlands

I’m gonna go there when I feel good enough to go

    [ . . . ]

Well my heart’s in the Highlands wherever I roam

That’s where I’ll be when I get called home

The wind, it whispers to the buckeyed trees in rhyme

Well my heart’s in the Highlands

I can only get there one step at a time

Lovely haiku and images Val. I hope you enjoyed your time at home with your family. Scotland looks very appealing from images I’ve seen online.

Ah, but the rain and grey is the best weather for photos! Hope you greatly enjoyed your time there! ❤
