Life is difficult
But it isn’t a problem
Find your Middle Ground
~
These words came to me as I read responses to an earlier post about going through a difficult time.
One of the things I have learned from inner reflection and yoga, is, that life gets difficult. Life is made up of highs and lows. The problem arises when we get attached to the highs and resist the lows. We want everything to go our way.
We forget that there is nothing wrong with the lows. There may be difficulty and some pain, but it isn’t a problem to be fixed or to be made to go away.
It’s the way life is. Most of us are never taught about how to handle the tough, anxious and scary things that happen. We learn from those around us. Take a moment to reflect on how your parents and care givers dealt with tough times and stress…
It’s a very human response to want to move away from discomfort and pain, and to grasp the next feel good moment. But there is something here that wants to get our attention. Something worthwhile to learn about ourselves and the world around us.
When we recognize that life isn’t a problem to be fixed, we open a door. This door leads to accepting life as it unfolds, allowing and then embracing all that comes along. It’s also okay to recognize that this might not be the time or we are not ready to cross the threshold, but it is always there when we are ready to explore and go deeper … to Find our Middle Ground

I’d love to hear from you …
