A catbird tries to fly
against the wind only
to be blown backward.
I know that feeling –
setting out with certainty
and arriving somewhere
entirely different. When
I respond with acceptance
to my unexpected
destination, the sun
clangs its cymbals of
light in silent celebration.
~ Danna Faulds
Stop trying to fly against the wind and fully embrace where you are in the highs of lows of life. Celebrate the unexpected… and the sunshine today!
Beautiful!

Just had a moment like this yesterday, and flowed with it, and it’s amazing how short the darkness is when you let it be. Thanks for this post today, and all days, Val.

Ah! Yes! I was on my paddle board the other day, Val, and the wind was so strong when I paddled around an island and it hit me full force in the face! If I stopped paddling for even a second I found myself moving backwards. It fostered a little fear which made everything tighten up…and paddling was exhausting. And then I heard myself saying, “relax into it.” So I did…and I found a rhythm and immediately everything changed. Life is kind of like that sometimes…what we fight we make stronger. There are so many lessons!!!
Have a great week, Val!
