Grounded

Thank you Karl over at Mindful Balance for today’s inspiration.
I will be like a lion today… You?

When you run after your thoughts, you are like a dog chasing a stick:

every time a stick is thrown, you run after it.

Instead, be like a lion who, rather than chasing after the stick, turns to face the thrower.

One only throws a stick at a lion once

  4. Love this! I actually turned and faced a thrower last week, and it felt good, I was not attached to the outcome but knew a changed needed to be made for my own well-being, and so I stood tall in my truth. and boy was it scary!! But in the end, it all worked out, so I love coming across this! I’m glad you were inspired!

  8. A dog chasing after each “stick” as it arises is a perfect metaphor for the monkey mind, racing racing all the time.

    Sit still and just be.
