thoughts like bubbles

When the Bubble Bursts

Active mind seeks answers,

quiet mind embraces silence.

Beneath both, thoughts

float like bubbles.

Iridescence rises for a moment,

then bursts,

leaving nothing in its wake

but open space.

by Danna Faulds from and anthology called Root to Bloom

I love how these words create shining images of bubbles floating. There’s a sense of how delicate they are and how they can so easily burst.

… Yet we give our thoughts so much power.

May your thoughts today float and burst with ease, so that you can experience the spaciousness and stillness in their wake.

Aahhh … now that feels better 😉

  5. I love the metaphor Val. I also love the idea of knowing more than the thoughts, balancing our feelings as well. The third leg of that easel is our wants … they are important too as they will move us to action … best to know them so we can manage where we are going!! 🙂
