So many of us say we love new combinations and the mixing of different things and perspectives… yet are unable to bring this into how we see others in the world. An evening primrose doesn’t resent the fern.

    Resentment is not one of the 7 deadly sins, nor is it specifically mentioned in the 10 commandments. It would seem to be a uniquely human trait though. Your ferns and lichen don’t succumb, but we do, I do. I believe the gods of Greece and Rome succumbed too. As the gods and as mankind succumbs to occasional bursts of resentment, and as the scriptures fail to condemn it, I shall continue to resent sometimes too.
