Present Moment Ponder

My thanks go out toย Ali Grimshawย and her writing circle for offering the spark of inspiration and space for it to unfold. What a wonderful time spent allowing our authentic voice to speak. Here is one of my offerings.

If the present moment
were an image
what would it look like?

A tapestry of all the threads
of interactions and relationships
that brought us here?

A mosaic of pieces haphazardly,
or placed with care,
into the concrete of now?

Or a puzzle with each intriguing
separate piece magically
coming together?

Do we need to recognize the image
or can we just appreciate
whatever arises?

Perhaps we don't need to know the answer.

This is what the present offers.
Allowing. Not knowing.
Being fully here.
With the gift of Presence.

  7. Love your writing and so true.

Living mindfully, and accepting whatever arises (instead of attempting to tame thoughts and actions to what we think they should be) is one of our greatest teachings as human beings.

Hope you and your family enjoy this festive season whatever you do.

  11. Beautiful. Sometimes not all pieces are required to be arranged in the perceived right manner to understand a feeling.
