“In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should be all thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.”

Albert Schweitzer

kindling candle flame

Accept that there will be low times

Yet we can rekindle inspiration

Spark off each other

Bring fresh awareness of our inner fire

And fan the flames together

Coming together to kindle each other’s spirit

Is simply wonderful.

Thank you 🕯

  1. This is really beautiful, Val, and very timely. I’m in the middle of a very long low time but I keep encountering people who help me along. Sometimes all we need is a little spark to rekindle our flame, maybe just enough so that it doesn’t go out for now. And eventually we might be the one passing on that spark to others.

  5. Very often we need to be each other’s flame. Loved reading this as it resonates. We have to keep that flame going so we pass it on.
