As humans, we attach ourselves

To our stories and beliefs.

We give our stories meaning.

Yet they can keep us stuck in the past

Or create who we want to be.

What kind of story are you living from?

The past, or a new future?

Perhaps it served you before

but now brings inner struggle.

To be free, a new story must be born.

One that will hold you up now.

A new story to live into

with an open heart and lighter step.

A birthing such as this takes courage

and is more difficult alone,

Reach out to a trusted friend

or guide. The next chapter of

your life is already unfolding.

Namaste.

  8. I love this, Val. So much of who we are is based on our perception (stories) of ourselves. The good news is that we can change our stories simply by changing out minds. ๐Ÿ™‚ A huge responsibility to imagine ourselves, but what an opportunity.

  11. I keep trying to live in the MOMENT – not the past or the future. Let the story of my day unfold in front of me, minute by minute. Your poem is so RIGHT ON. โค
