dharma - path of love

Dharma
Means our duty,
Our natural purpose.
It’s the dharma of the sun to shine.
It’s the dharma of a cat to chase mice.
Its the dharma of human beings to learn to love

Love is the work of the soul.
Love is the joy beyond all form.

So let us bury the grudge and all the sorrows
And do our soul work together,
Clumsy though our steps may be..

God didn’t create this park so we could just play.
But what do I know?

Pondering the Dharma by John Mundahl

 I love this pondering.

What if our purpose is simply to learn to love.

Its a heart warming thought.

Who really knows?… 🙂

I know nothing about Gods or our supposed purpose, yet as an adult have always felt that love is all that matters; it’s what really counts in any situation, no matter how distressing the circumstances. And of course, love is action as well as a metaphysical abstraction. It’s what unites the mundane with the supramundane, the world with the highest. It’s the ultimate expression of harmlessness. H ❤

I believe love is the most important lesson to learn. It manifests itself in many ways, the task of learning to love is many facetted, from showing compassion in the suffering of others, through onenesss with nature, to abiding in love even when we ourselves are suffering a terrible illness. To express love for life at all times, in all situations, with all beings, is our greatest challenge 🙂

It makes perfect sense to me. If it were so easy to do then what else would we do? 😀 Have a lovely weekend Val. 🙂
