An uplifting and roaring poem by Samantha Reynolds to share! Thanks to Carol at Radiating Blossom 💛

I am not old, she said
I am rare

I am the standing ovation
at the end of the play

I am the retrospective
of my life
as art

I am the hours
connected like dots
into good sense

I am the fullness
of existing

you think I am waiting to die
but I am waiting to be found

I am a treasure
I am a map
these wrinkles are imprints
of my journey

ask me
anything.

  8. I think we tend as a society to fear aging. I recently read a blog about someone who was soon turning 50 and even though it was written in a humorous way, one could sense the fear of being ‘over-the-hill’ attitude. I was blessed to have re-found my creative spirit at 61. “These wrinkles are imprints of my journey”, but the treasures inside are unfolding.
