Everything we see is a reflection of ourselves.

We can only see in others that which we have knowledge of, based on our own experience.

What we admire and love most in others is a reflection of the parts of ourselves we may not have fully acknowledged or expressed.

    That Anais Nin quote has long been a favorite. We see the world behind our eyes. When we are full of gratitude, we see things to add to that gratitude. When we are feeling “sour,” life appears sour to us.

    I’ve always been aware that when people bug me, I’ve probably got that same quality, but I never thought of it the other way. When I admire people, there may be a quality within me that I haven’t expressed. I like that Val! ❤
