change

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

– Alan Watts

I love this message … especially as we move into a new era that is sure to bring about many changes here in the US.

What we resist only persists… and adds to our own inner struggle.

Stop resisting, and start to accept that we are in for …  Something that is yet to unfold.

When the seeds of change open, there must be growth.

So let’s embrace it, join in it and dance with it.

Each of us is a part of a future that has not been written.

Something much bigger than ourselves is at work here… and we are a part of it, whether we like it or not.

Don’t be a wallflower.

Join the dance.

So good Val. I just wrote about resistance earlier this week. We’ve done this before. 😊💕

I completely agree, Val! We have to remain in faith. ❤

Can’t resist telling you that this post made me smile and think of the Irish opening to many a sentence: ‘Between the jigs and the reels …’

So many sayings come to mind about being the change we want to see. But one of my favourites from many years ago is: “Always leave a clean wake.”

Ah, yes. I love the idea of dancing but I have no rhythm. :} Change is inevitable. I may not like the change so I will just go my merry way and let it flow around me.

    Wise words Val.
Change is inevitable regardless of who we are, our culture or country. Nothing is permanent in this life.
I don’t have Faith so much as………know that all change has a reason and sometimes, a hidden potential.
In my own life, on a personal level……..every morning I wake up stiff and in pain, I tell myself that at least (in retirement from 9-5 work) I can handle this chronic pain and other symptoms in whatever way I like. I no longer have to ‘endure’ this pain sitting at a desk all day.
If I want to sit, I sit.
If I want to walk, I walk.
If I want to listen, I listen.
If I want to lay flat and have a nap in the afternoon, I do.
The pain is still there, day after day, but i have the freedom to choose how I live with that pain. It can be quite liberating in many ways.
    It’s all in the Mind.
If i hadn’t had to quit working due to Chronic Ill Health, I wouldn’t have taken up Photography. If I hadn’t taken up Photography. I wouldn’t have re-discovered my love of Nature and all the little details of the natural world around me. If I hadn’t had to quit working, I wouldn’t have discovered the Joy in a Simple life. I’m poor in wealth, but richer in appreciation of the simple things that most people take for granted. I’m not forever wishing for the next Holiday or a new Car or new Shoes or anything else material.
There is no ‘More’ in the Future, so one sees and accepts What Is (in the present Moment).

Thank you for sharing Vicki. Your photography is a real gift. Maybe each day come and go with some ease as you focus on the present moment. 💛

Yup! Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain. ~ Vivian Greene

I was never one to join the dance, but I agree that we get nowhere resisting inevitable change. I’ll buckle-up and go for the ride.

Such a beautiful nudge to let go and surrender as we move as part of the whole …join the dance 🙂

You are so right Val, live instead of resisting life, just because of changing 🙂
