* Mantra for Today – Simple

tangled thoughts

Some days we tie ourselves up into knots of analysis and thinking.
Going around and around and making a fine mess, rather getting clarity or direction.
This mantra is a helpful reminder for me when I get into a tangle.

“Spirit is simple”

spiriti is simple

Keep coming back to the simple and let go of the complicated.

Keep coming back to your breath and find your middle ground.

  4. It reminds me of that saying: It’s not easy but it is ‘simple.’
When I was young that saying didn’t make sense, but it is very clear now 😉 Have a wonderful day, Val ♡

  5. So simple and so wise! 🙂 To me complexity is like when you watch a movie and for a moment you think you are in it. Then, out of the sudden, you realise it was only an illusion. So is complexity. The moment we realise we are falling into the complexity loop we can get out of the trap. And your mantra is very helpful in this! Ciao!

  6. Neuroscience now details that we experience an average of 60,000 thoughts a day, negative ones are like Velcro, so letting go of complex, complicated or emotional is wise.

That is one thought a second. Our minds are very busy, no?

  10. I agree so much! My poetry is complicated though.

    1. Poetry is creative expression … Which can get complicated as it captures so much. I’ve never thought of this, but perhaps pausing and allowing the essence and spirit beyond the words to reveal itself might bring something new.
Thanks for the pondering Maria 🙂

      1. Val, I love your reply on this; thanks so much for looking beyond. In reality, I’m a very simple person, but my poetry gets a bit heavy at times. Thanks, you’ve helped me look at it in a different way.

    1. Yep – there is very little tangling going on their heads!! Smells and instincts maybe … but not the avalanche of thoughts that we filter every day.

  18. Ah yes. Mine is ‘authentic simplicity’. Not so poetic but it’s my standard reference. And for me it’s the one to live my life by. It really helps! Ps I don’t know how you manage to be so prolific with your posts! Do you have elves? X
