waiting for your season

Many of us are experiencing the extremes of the seasons right now. That’s quite a metaphor! It made me think of these words from the heart of Kahlil Gibran in “The Prophet”.

Awakening

“Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.

Just as the stone of the fruit must break, so that its heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.

And if you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy.

If you accept the seasons of your heart, as you have always accepted the four seasons, you would watch with serenity the winters of your grief.

Much of your pain is self-chosen. It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.

Therefore, trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility.

For his hand, though heavy and hard, is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen.”

The seasons come and go, yet they are part of nature and nature prevails. Our experience of highs and lows are part of being human and life prevails. When our hearts are open and we allow ourselves to feel all that arises, healing will follow. The heart is such a precious part of ourselves and is immensely strong when we realize it is connected to a divine love that connects us all.

Namaste

Amen to that Val, this journey does indeed ‘test’ that within us. But slowly does understanding unravel that bloom that love is, and set us free. Great post kind lady, may we dare to believe a little more of ourselves in each of those steps 🤗❤️🙏

Yes, no matter what, we are not in control of our surroundings, so best we tend to our inner selves, Val …
    Mad-hatters, No Matter the Season

    The latter of matter
    Did not scale the ladder
    The origin of matter
    Is in our hearts pitter-patter

Matter is neither flatter nor fatter
    “What does it matter
    If we are all mad-hatters”?

We are but leaves and twigs of the ground
    Awaiting nature’s beckoning sounds
