It is Enough – Inspiration from John J Prendergast

This post is part of my spiritual decluttering. Yes, it’s still going on!

These words come from John’s wonderful book “The Deep Heart”. For everyone who is ready to learn to abide in the heart, not knowing.

It is enough that we listen and follow moment to moment. It is enough that we are open, are available, and take the next obvious step and see what happens. It is enough when the ordinary mind bows down to the wisdom of the heart and trusts the movement of a wiser current. When we surrender to it, a natural authority in the core of our being guides our life quite beautifully…. Not knowing refers not only to our inability to know what will happen; it also means that we cannot know our true nature solely by thinking about it.

Embracing the unknown without trying to figure it out ahead of time. Overcoming fear by trusting the calling of the heart. Opening a door to what is already here, and wants to guide you. Trusting in something more that your thinking mind and opening to the loving Source within you and around you.

Abide in the heart, not knowing is powerful beyond words.

At the end of March, John will be at Kripalu with his wife Christiane for a retreat and exploration to awaken the Universal Heart. I cannot be there this time, as I will be in Scotland but I highly recommend those who are moved by this to explore joining him there.
