Haiku – stillness

Find your Middle Ground
Let the seed found in stillness
bring peace to the earth.
~

Find your Middle Ground is about stepping away from stressful days and anxious minds, and taking time to pause.

When we are mindful of the present moment and simply allow it to be, we open a door to our natural state of being – accepting, loving, peaceful, kind and content. Most of us are so distracted and moving so fast that we get caught up in the world of “doing” or worrying about what we should be doing next.
Too much doing and thinking disconnects us from our sense of “being”and who we really are.

I write about finding this place of connection, contentment and peace in the highs and lows of life. I call it our Middle Ground.

  6. Val, should have thought of the following earlier. That is that a week ago I signed up to Headspace, see https://www.headspace.com, that offers meditation ‘resources’ online.

Was wondering if you or any of your readers had any experiences of Headspace and, if so, if they would be willing to share them?

    1. Hi Paul, Headspace is well renowned and offers a variety of methods for “training” the brain in mindfulness and meditation. Its easy to get engaged with it and keep it up … that the beauty of using an app rather than going to a Meditation Center with tend to follow one methodology … and requires driving to get there! Good luck with it 😌

      1. Val, thank you. That’s helpful. Must say that so far, as in Day 4, I’m finding it good. I choose to make it the last thing I listen to before turning out the light at night. I’ll stay with it! Once again, thank you!

  12. oh my! …. we open a door
I loved this post! and that you used the word, Content.
That was especially, important I believe. Happiness is or can be a superficial thing perhaps. But, to be ‘contented’ ahhh, that is the loveliest of goals! and you told us how, too. it is in that moment of just ‘being.’ Thank you for this post! 🙂
