Inspiration – The Body is Like the Ocean

white should swans

The body is like the ocean, rich with hidden treasures.
Open your innermost chamber
And light itโ€™s lamp.
Within the body are gardens,
Rare flowers, peacocks, the inner music,
Within the body, a lake of bliss.
On it, the white soul-swans take their joy.

~ Mirabai

So often we forget all the beauty that lies within us all.

Be gentle with your body today.
It is a precious vessel.

Honor the deepest part of you.
Touch the beauty and love that is there.

  1. Interesting thoughts. As we get older we become more aware of the workings of our incredible bodies. We learn from what goes wrong how amazing it is that it went so right for so long. We live here, but we tend to look outward so much that this body in which our soul resides is largely an unexamined mystery!

  3. The mystery of the body is nothing compared to the mystery of our spirit within, its hidden depths, strengths, beauty. Keeping my body in shape is vital to letting my spirit know, I cherish our journey together. I will stay in tune with you so I can carry you on this journey through love.

Thanks for the inspiration this morning Val. Lovely.

  5. The latest issue of Scientific American, Volume 316, Number 2, states in an article by Herman Pontzer “Our brains are so large that, as you sit reading this article, the oxygen from every fourth breath you take is needed just to feed your brain.” (p.31)

The human body is the most remarkable thing.
