โ€œPraise and blame, gain and loss, pleasure and sorrow

come and go like the wind.

To be happy, rest like a giant tree in the midst of them all.โ€

~ The Buddha

Let the winds of change move through your branches.

After all, that is what this season is about.

  11. Love this, Val.
I was only thinking today how the bare branches let you see the birds perching ~ birds that we only tend to hear when the leaves are there.

    1. Thank you Carrie. Its been an settling week. Find the strength in your roots and let the winds blow through. They cannot touch you.
And if and when they do, it is time for action to find balance again.

      1. Indeed it has been a week to remember. The image of the roots, of the strength therein and the blowing winds is apropos of what we most need. Returning to our center, when we feel off balance is critical to being present to the suffering of others whose roots are not quite as deep, yet. ๐Ÿ’•โ€‹โ˜ฎ๏ธโ€‹
