* Tao Inspiration – Truth

simple truth

“Truth is not fancy, and does not need to be.
In fact, decorations only hide it from sight.

You can’t force people to see truth.
Arguing with them will only draw their attention away from it.”

~ Lao Tzo *

Lets keep it simple and true today.

  1. Beautifully said and true. However the truth can hurt and stop one in their tracks. Do they admit it or do they turn a deaf ear or argue about it, even lie on top of it, but if people listen and acknowledge it, the truth will always set you free.

  2. Perfect, Val. This is what we need right now in this country, to remember that when someone believes a delusion, no amount of confrontation will dissuade them. Let us hope there are more who believe truth than those who believe falsehood.

    1. So pleased you mentioned the power of a delusion. How so many believe in what they want to be truthful rather than what is true. It’s a very timely reminder of the three golden keys: peace, love and wisdom.

    2. Thank you Sunny. It is so relevant to the times we Iive in. 💛 Alas, some are also using simple direct language that sounds like the truth to many uninformed and frightened souls!

  3. When we speak our truth, quietly and clearly, we allow those we meet to take what they want and leave the rest, without chasing after them to convince them to see the world through our eyes.

  4. Love the quote, Nancy. As I get older one of the things I’m discovering is that it’s not so much me grasping or discovering the truth, but rather more to do with the truth grasping me. I think, and I’ve not been pondering on this, there’s a subtle difference, I think.
