Instead of trying to see whatโ€™s beyond the horizon, take a moment and look down at your feet.

This is where you are.Pair of feet

Your feet are your foundation and will keep you grounded in life.

They allow you stand tall and stay balanced.

Remember youโ€™ll need your feet to take you in the direction you are heading in life.

You wil also need them in your senior years to be flexible enough to prevent falling and injury.

Check in with them regularly and they will bring you back to the present and to your middle ground.

(Pause for a moment of foot appreciation)

โ€œThank you for being there every day.

You do such a good job.

I really appreciate all that you do. Thank you!โ€

(They say thank you back)

Every day in class I pause to acknowledge our feet. We must take good care of them asโ€ฆ

  2. Feet? Grounded?
    I had to smile, Val.
All my feet ever do is hurt (after a walk). I wore them out around 15 years ago (with injury and then, over-walking).

โ— About Me

My name is Val Boyko, a dual citizen living near Philadelphia, originally from Scotland.

This blog came to life one morning in 2013.  I woke up with these words in my mind:  “Life is a series of highs and lows. Be grateful for the highs. Be graceful in the lows. And find contentment in your Middle Ground.”

Find Your Middle Ground blog started to explore, reflect, ask deep questions, share insights about awakening, and connect with wonderful people like yourself. Thank you for being here and being such an inspiration.
